We had Dasara vacation, we made use of this vacation by organizing school trip to Kollur, Gokarna, Jog falls, Kavishyla, Shringeri, Yana, Murdeshwara, and Chikkamagaluru.
100 Students along with 10 Teachers went for the tour on 12/10/2018, 2 buses were hired, the organizer was Green line. It was for 5 nights and we departed from Mandya on 12th Oct 2018 at 6 P.M. We reached jogfalls at 4 A.M. All of us relaxed, refreshed ourselves, had breakfast and visited Jogfalls. It attracts nature within the lush green folds in shimogga region.
Gokarna is a small temple town on the eastern coast of India in Kumuta taluk. It has a main temple and the deity is lord shiva.
Murudeshwara is a town in bhatkal taluk. It is another name of Hindu god shiva, famous for the worlds second tallest shiva statue and it lies on the coast of Arabian sea.
Kollur lies at the foot of Western Ghats and is famous for Mookambika temple a Hindu pilgrim centre.
Kuppalli is a small village in theerthahalli taluk of shimogga district. It is famous for being the birthplace and childhood home of the renowed kannada playwrite and poet Kuvempu.
Sringeri is a hill town in Chikkamagaluru district. It is the sight of the first Matha established by Adishankara.
Chikkamagaluru is a district in Karnataka. Coffee was first cultivated here. The mountains in chikkamagaluru are a part of the Western Ghats and are the sources of rivers like Thunga and Bhadra.
So all of us enjoyed the trip and it was memorable organization.
